Sometimes she would wonder,
spend hours and hours in a deep ponder,
missing the world going around,
seeing mouths moving without a sound,
they would all blur- she would think why,
but she would carry on without a sigh.

Then she decided to ask a question,
trusting it would be kept in discretion,
but a soon as the words were at her lips,
her mind decides it would be best to skip,
they would all blur-she’d think why,
but she would carry on with only a sigh.

Then it got worse and started to ache,
she would worry and worry starting to shake,
but no-one would notice, as she would hide,
they said they cared they must have lied,
they would all blur-she’d think why,
but she couldn’t carry on with only a sigh.

Some days she had too many thoughts,
she would run away so as not to be caught,
but they would catch up every single time,
dragging her into a pit from which she couldn’t climb,
everything was a blur- she didn’t know why,
but she had no breath left for a sigh.

she was told not to worry or wonder
as she was okay
she was told there was no need for questions
as she was okay
she was told she didn’t need help
as she was okay

But she knew she wasn’t.
She wasn’t okay.
